Western show wowed nelson audience

Shows featuring New Zealand artists have always been well-received in Nelson and the western show produced by Joe Brown and featuring Howard Morrison, John Hore, Paul Walden and Peter Posa was no exception. The show was a sell-out within days of bookings opening, and the public's confidence in the ability of the artists to entertain them royally was not misplaced. The show, backed by the tuneful Tunesmen, commenced at a gallop and finished in a stampede. And we're going to make a prediction–the number composed by John Hore and Paul Walden, "Santa Cried", is going to reach a high place on the hit parades.
