50 Mile Cycling Championships

The Marlborough rider, John Sneddon, took fastest time and the title in the Nelson Amateur Cycling Club's 50-mile road race earlier this month. The race was to the foot of Spooner's Range and return. Riders from Marlborough, Westport, Wellington and Nelson competed, including two Empire Games riders, D. Thompson (Wellington) and D. Comparini.
