Coles Nelson Ltd had its beginnings in 1929 when Mr W. U. H. Cole founded the firm of Runwell Cycle and Motor Works Ltd. It was later known as W. U. H. Cole and Co. In 1955 its name was changed to the present one. On its 10th birthday recently, three employees who have served the firm for those 10 years, Messrs Reg Gully, Cyril Chambers and Gerald Brown, were presented with watches by the managing director, Mr Lloyd Cole (below) in appreciation of their services to the firm. At right. Mr Cole Snr cuts the cake presented to the firm by its social club.
