'A Richmond woman, Mrs Sylvia Pont, was killed when the car she was driving around Rocks Road, Nelson, was involved in a collision with a truck and trailer. The car, as the photograph shows, was extensively damaged.

All five occupants of a car owned by Mr A. J. Hunter, of Tarakohe, were injured when the car failed to negotiate a bend, ran off the road and turned over. Only one of the five, however, was admitted to hospital.
