"The Few" ARE Remembered

Former members of the Royal and Royal New Zealand Air Forces joined other members of the armed forces one Sunday recently to do homage to "The Few" who fought and died in the skies above England during the Battle of Britain. Detachments from the Wood-bourne station attended the parade along with local unite of the A.T.C. Wreaths were laid at the Church Steps and the parade then attended a special service in the cathedral.

Before the parade moved off: Sqn Ldr Moran, Cos Newman D.F.C. and Bar, Lt Claude Robb, U.S. Air Force who is at present at Woodbourne, Sqn Ldr A. L. Forater and Sqn Ldr T. M. Smith, both Woodbourne.
