Motueka-Nelson Relay

Greymouth clipped nearly 3½ minutes off the record established by Nelson for the Motueka-Nelson relay race last year when it romped home six mins ahead of Nelson in this year's event. Christ-church Technical was third. Great interest was shown in the form of the Joggers, some of whom are of a venerable age, and although they commenced an hour before the other competitors, the team finished the run in 4 hrs 26 min 40 sec - a great time for the 35.3 mile course.
