Motor Racing at the Beach

Bill Harris, of Christchurch, in his powerful Alfa-Jaguar, romped home an easy winner in the New Zealand beach racing championship at Tahuna. The previous day, Neil Stuart retained the Nelson provincial championship in the Stuart Special, but was eliminated from the New Zealand race when he stalled, his car shunted and damaged. Both days' racing were held in glorious weather.
