A group of Harvards from Wigram air station gave Nelsonians a thrilling display of aerobatics last month. Unfortunately, the sky was quite cloudy and the smoke-streams were not seen at their best.

When a fault developed in a Viewmaster just after taking off from Nelson, it was found necessary to replace the engine - work not normally done in Nelson.

Four district members of the Life Brigade organisation who have been attending the diamond jubilee celebrations of the organisation in London, returned home last month. The four girls, Eleanor Sutherland, Yvonne Hunter, Barbara Haines and Leone Sutherland, are in centre front of this pic.
