Hundreds of people visited the N.Z. Forest Products Limited Pinex show home, which was erected inside the basketball stadium, at Stoke. The home was built in a hectic two-week period and even included a courtyard, fountain and gardens.

Remember the National road cycling championships, which were held in Nelson, for the first time a few months ago? Well, these chaps formed the organising committee.
