Spring Bursts out in Motueka
Aided by the 2ZN crew, the Motueka Spring Festival was a great success. The show had a spring wedding theme and it must have been heartening for the committee who organised the festival to see it attended by so many.
2ZN technician Sheng Yee was among the first to receive a carnation from Mrs Shirley Frater. Sorting out some more flowers is Hazel Fry
"This is a flower show isn't it?"asks Maria Fell (7 months), daughter of Mr and Mrs Kevin Fell, Brooklyn. And so Maria admires the delicate carnation with deserved interest - after that she tried to eat it
A group of youngsters approached announcer Lindsay Perrigo and offered to assist the show with a number. And they did
Some of the hardworking committee members who organised the show were Donalda Hutchison, Pearl Beuke, Laura Bellamy, Madge Hutchings, Margaret Cederman (president), Dawn Young, Shirley Frater, Elsie Skillicorn, Jewell Inwood and Margaret Sinclair
