Wellington Wins Relay
The Wellington Harrier Club led from the second lap, to win the annual 35-mile Motueka-Nelson road relay. Their time of 2hrs 51 min. 50 sec. was 40 sec. outside the record set by Tokoroa in 1966. Otago University, last year's winner, was second, and Nelson third. Fifteen teams competed.
