Jardines Soccer Team Beaten

A Nelson Invitation XI had a meritorious 3-2 win over the Jardines team from Hong Kong in an international soccer fixture played on a very heavy ground at Trafalgar Park. Very heavy rain which softened the pitch to a sloppy consistency in parts, had its effect on the smaller touring team, but the game was still a thriller.
