Jockey Club Meeting
The Nelson Jockey Club had a most successful race meeting at Nelson last month. The weather was kind, the track fast and the fields big. Gold Mint, winner of the Nelson Cup in 1968, again took the honours this year.
Status is first to take the first hurdle in the opening event, the hurdles handicap. Close behind are Little Johnny (placed second) and on the inside, eventual winner, San Leonardo.
