These two cargo-ologists are fairly well known to many Nelsonians. They are Max Curtis and Peter Marshall. Max is married and has three children. He's lived in Nelson since 1942, coming here from Westport. His interests include deer stalking and the Search and Rescue Organisation (of which he's been local head for a number of years). He's also been president of the Nelson Deerstalkers' Association for the last nine years. Peter is also married. He has four children and has lived all his life in Nelson. His major interests are Rugby (he's a former Nelson union representative half-back) and cricket.

Maisie Fry and Annette Taylor are office assistants with H. I. Dimock Ltd. Maisie, who has been with the firm five years, is married and has two boys. She came to Nelson from Motueka 10 years ago. Her interests include gardening, sewing and knitting. Annette is eagerly awaiting May 16-her wedding day. She has lived in Nelson all her life and has been with the firm for 12 months. She is a green belt judoka (fiance has a yellow belt) and she likes tramping and cooking.

Driving a whopping great artic for Highways Construction is the job of Don Heath. Don, who is married, with two children, has lived in Nelson most of his life. He was educated at Motueka High School, and for fun goes pig shooting and follows Rugby.

Audrey Gimblett and Susan Merrick are shoe happy. Audrey is co-proprietor of Heath's Shoe Store. She and her hubby came here from Rangiora 3½ years ago. She has one girl and her interests include motoring and housework (?). Susan has been at the store a year and a half. She was educated at Sacred Heart College and her interests include animals, basketball and swimming.
