Takaka Trio Takes Triple Trophy

The Takaka three, Norma Taylor (s), Bella Dorn and Hazel Little (Above) played excellent bowls throughout the four days of the Nelson women's triples bowling tournament in Nelson last month. The tournament, the first to be played, was an outstanding success, and the bowling of an extremely high standard. And was it exciting! Several games were won only on the last ends, and in one semi-final, between the threes of Zina White (Coronation) and Alice Lyons (United), Alice negated three or four shot bowls of Zina's team with her last bowl to take the match. How much closer could you get?
