Girls' Brigade In The Kitchen
Climax to the first day's visit to Nelson for a big party of Marlborough members of the Girls' Brigade was a "kitchen song" contest at the Church of Christ. Each company was required to perform a novelty item with a kitchen theme, and to accompany themselves on kitchen implements. There were some weird and wonderful arrangements and the packed hall was given a very interesting evening's entertainment.
