Young Farmers' Ball

Young farmers from many parts of Nelson were joined by a lot of young townies for the annual ball of the Young Farmers' Club. This has long been a warm, friendly affair, and is always well-patronised.

Marlene Eyles and Miles Palmer were having a night out, as were Herb Thompson (Ward) and Philippa Giles (below).

Another pair who had no trouble raising a smile for our camera were Murray Crisp and Sue Dick.

Happiness is....a good night at a good ball, and that's just what Bruce Fraser, Margaret Gould and Irene and Terrence Cook are having.
