The traffic lanes in Bridge Street, particularly the inside lane outside the Wakatu Hotel, are far from effective. When this picture was taken a truck was unloading in the lane and through traffic had to use the turning lane. Even when the inside lane is clear, vehicles using it have to enter it at a very sharp angle and leave it just as sharply.
