They Said: "Well Made N.Z."

To give New Zealanders a better appreciation of New Zealand wines, the Henderson firm of Corbans Wines invited about 200 Nelsonians to a wine and cheese evening in the Redwood Hall last month. The evening was voted by all as a tremendous success. During it, the company provided 10 varieties of wine, ranging from sherries to champagne, and the appreciation of the guests can best be measured from the fact that about 40 gallons of wine were consumed. For the most part, guests were predominantly members of the licensed trade. As well, six varieties of New Zealand cheese were provided.
