Youth Festival Week

Gisborne's first Youth Festival Week, which aimed at presenting to the public some of the activities in which young people are prominent, commenced in grand style with a parade through the city of decorated floats on a recent Friday night.

Organised by the Greater Gisborne Youth Action Committee, the festival was well supported, and although it was not a financial success, it succeeded admirably in its aim.
