Women's Golf Championships
The Poverty Bay Women's Golf Championships were held recently with a three-day mid-week tournament on the picturesque Awapuni Links,
The large gallery of spectators which followed the final of the Open Championship were treated to an exciting tussle when Mrs G. J. O. Booth, of the P.B. Club, played strongly over the last seven holes to overtake and defeat Miss Natalie White, of Remuera, two and one.
The Booth family scored a double victory when Mrs Booth's daughter, Heather, won the final of the Championship Flight.
