The impressive new play-centre building, which is being built for the Gisborne Council of the Free Kindergarten Association, is progressing rapidly. Situated between Rutene and Iranui Roads, and adjacent to the croquet courts, the building is of very modern design, and is constructed of vertical stained weather boarding and brick veneer.

The form work on Gisborne' s massive 2,000,000 gallon water reservoir on Nob Hill is now entirely covered with plywood in preparation for the concrete sides to be poured.
