Conference In Gisborne

Cheery informality characterised the "get-together" conference of members of the New Zealand Business and Professional Women's Clubs held at Gisborne last month. Forty-five members, representing 10 of the 18 branches of the organisation throughout the country, attended, and went away high in their praises of Gisborne. They enjoyed a number of functions, including an opening ceremony and a dinner at Ulverstone, followed by a social, a scenic drive, and a Sunday afternoon tea. Our photographs were taken during the final function in the grounds of Ulverstone, where a past Dominion president, Mrs D. M. Wilkins, was hostess.
