Representative Yachties

Local yachties who were selected to represent Poverty Bay in the national Idle-along and "P" class championships are:

Steven Thompson competed in the Tanner Cup races in Auckland.

×
     

Eric Upton was selected for the Tauranga Cup but had to resign because of illness.

×
     

Raymond Wenham replaced Upton.

×
     

Rex Forbes and Earl Otway earned the honour of competing in the Moffat Cup in Wellington when they won the first three trial races outright in their yacht, Trisha.
