The Gisborne Youth Hostel Association have recently purchased from the State Hydro Electric Dept. a hut at Aniwaniwa, Lake Waikaremoana, for use as a hostel. The building, as can be seen, requires some attention and work parties from Gisborne have been going in to the lake to effect repairs.

About 30 members and friends made the trip recently to Ruapehu for skiing and snow sports, when this impressive picture was taken.
