Flying Demonstrators

Hair tinting seems to be the thing these days for the ladies. We are reliably informed that 90% of the hair which receives attention at local beauty salons has been tinted.

The couple at left are Eric Barfoot and Gail Payton, of Auckland, who flew into Gisborne in a chartered plane last week to demonstrate Rege Colour to local hairdressers.

Flew in is putting it mildly. The couple ran into a rainstorm and couldn't find Darton Field. Short on daylight, they finally picked up the coastline halfway to Wairoa, came round Young Nick's at 200 feet, eventually made a dusk landing in a paddock at Manutuke.

Eric is the bloke who was fined £50 for flying under the Auckland harbour bridge on opening day.

Demonstrations of Rege Colour were put on at Pateley House. There were five very attractive models on the night we attended. They are pictured here after treatment with Marigny hair products.
