"Say Cheese"

"Say cheese!" is the photographer's standard command when he wants glumlooking subjects to look pleased for the birdie. Out at the Chalet Rendezvous such a command is usually superfluous, for everybody is having a good time anyway.

But if it was said, odds are Mr and Mrs Fankhauser would whip out one of the Chalet's finest dishes, a Continental novelty which comprises the main course of a Fondue dinner. A big bowl of the special cheese mixture is set on a small spirit stove on the table, where it bubbles merrily. Into this the patrons dip bread cubes, each of which, when coated, makes a succulent mouthful.
