Country Children Visit the City

The children featured in these pictures don't go to school, at least not in the ordinary sense of that term.

They live so far out back that they belong to the Correspondence School and have to do all their lessons at home.

Recently Gisborne and East Coast Correspondence School pupils gathered in the city for an occasion that was part educational and part social.

They learned much from a short course at Central School, and perhaps even more from visits to city institutions.
