On the occasion of Sister Fitzgerald leaving Cook Hospital to get married, patients gathered to wish her well. Above, three small girls perform a poi dance for the entertainment of those present. At right, on behalf of the patients, Mr T. Matenga makes a presentation to Sister Fitzgerald.

Brian Ashwell, of 17 Churchill Crescent, poses with two identical cycles. One was stolen from outside a city theatre, and when recovered there was very little left. Cycle thefts of this type, in which parts are stripped, have been common lately. "Photo News" noticed a cycle frame recently which had been tossed over the bank of Tietjen's Cut in the Waipaoa River.

We print this picture for no other reason than that it was sent in from Te Araroa along with a charming little note. We think she's a charming little girl, too. She's one of our "Photo News" fans in the far north.
