Shearing Contest

It was "coat's off" for the sheep at the showgrounds recently when shearing competitions were held in Gisborne for members of the Wellington Council of Young Farmers' Clubs. Gisborne-East Coast members did better than they expected against strong opposition from Hawkes Bay, Wellington, and Taranaki, and concluded the day second in the team placings to Southern Hawkes Bay.
