By the death recently of Mr Richard Wyke, of Aberdeen Road, Gisborne lost a veteran bandsman and conductor, and a most accomplished musician. Mr Wyke, who was 82 years of age, was born in England and spent the first half of his life there. He won prominence as a flautist, and later as an arranger and composer.
