The Flying Fijians
Visiting Basketballers Delight Crowd

Like the Fiji footballers who visited Gisborne last month, the Fiji basketball team seen in action on these pages delighted the crowd with the fresh approach and fast, open tactics which they brought to their games with East Coast and Poverty Bay.

The girls specialised in high jumping for the ball and long, high passes. With the good humour characteristic of their race, they quickly won the hearts of those watching.

The visitors won their game with East Coast by 24 goals to 16, and with Poverty Bay by 28 goals to 20.
