Salvation Army Boys Band

Probably not many people know that there is a boys' band in Gisborne as large and as accomplished as the Salvation Army Young People's Band shown on these pages.

Boys commence with the band at the age of eight years, and at 16 are eligible to transfer to the senior band, thus fulfilling the primary object of the boys' band as a recruiting ground for the senior combination.
