Harriers on the Hills

When the Gisborne Y.M.C.A. Harrier Club held its annual championships this month, runners had to complete a course which included a traverse of the Wheatstone Road valley at Tamarau, a stiff climb to the saddle at the valley's end, and a descent into upper Kaiti.

Seniors went round 3–mile course twice, junior and colt runners once. Conditions were cold and the ground was wet.
