Hot Time At The Beach
Temperatures round the bay at New Tear time were pleasant enough—not too hot and not too cold. But one day along by the Marine Parade the heat was turned on with a vengeance when the tall grass between the road and the sea caught fire. These pictures by Alan E. George, who was on the spot with a camera, show firefighters——brigadesmen and vol unteers—at their unenviable task of getting the fire under control.
