Hostels For Youth

With a strength of 56 members, a branch of the Youth Hostel Association formed at Gisborne is already making plans for the construction of a dormitory here.

Chains of youth hostels throughout the world provide members with inexpensive quarters wherever they may go.

Members of the Napieir branch—formed two years ago and with its own hostel now built—visited Gisborne recently to advise the new club on procedure.

At opening of new hostel at Puru, near Thames, visitors from Gisborne form the letters Y.H.A. The "Y" is Barbara Muir, George Maddren and Bruce Stichbury hold Barbara Murray for the "H", while Heather Dunn is suspended between Alicia O'Connor and Colleen Mossman for the "A".
