A Stirring, Skirling Day

The blood of 2000 spectators was more than stirred by the skirl of the pipes, and emphasis of drums, at the South Auckland Pipe Band Championships held at Rugby Park on March 15 and 16. The finer points of the competitions were much appreciated by the crowd which also gave local Drum Major Bryson Watt a great ovation for his fantastic effort in winning, and retaining, the staff flourishing title.
