Absolutely Perfect For Any Champion

The new Olympic Pool surpassed all expectations when it provided ideal conditions for the Hawke's Bay-Poverty Bay Centre Age Group Championships held on January 17 thru' 20. Heats and finals went with clockwork precision and officials found working conditions perfect.

The biggest thrill of the four-day programme was provided in the men's open 50 metre dash which produced a very exciting finish.
