Keeping Track
Keeping check during the recent delivery flight of the first of Air New Zealand's latest purchase of three DC-10s was Mr Darryl Jeune, son of Mr Frank Jeune, Iranui Road. Darryl is the technical research engineer of Air New Zealand. The $25,000,000 wide-bodied jetliner was flown from Long Beach, California, to Auckland and is actually now the fourth DC-10 in Air New Zealand's fleet.

A DC-10 under construction in the McDonnell Douglas plant, Long Beach. The plant has 7 million square feet of covered factory space. Darryl Jeune is a former pupil of the Gisborne High School, studied at Canterbury University, and spent two years in Australia before joining Air New Zealand 12 years ago.
