"Skippy," the bush kangaroo, thrilled hundreds of her Gisborne fans when she appeared in the Y.M.C.A. Stadium during the school holidays. Kiddies by the mile thronged the three "Skippy" shows to see one of their favourite TV ' stars in the flesh. In America alone the Australian animal's TV series has been shown on over 100 channels, all in colour. An estimate showed that it had a weekly audience of millions throughout the world. Along with Skippy were Crunchy The Clown and Maska The Mystic and they provided very enjoyable entertainment for the kiddies, young and older.
