Here and There

Bill James Retires

A gathering of clients and staff of James, Harvey and Norman, Chartered Accountants, assembled for the 5 to 7 cocktail hour to farewell Mr Bill James who is retiring and going to live in Auckland for family reasons. He is Gisborne born and bred, has lived here most of his life, and has been in public practice for 36 years. Mr James, who actually qualified at the early age of 21, has also been president of the St John Ambulance for some years. He was presented with a magnificent chair by his partners and clients, while the staff members also gave him a smart smoker's stand to go with the chair.
