Big Beach Clean Up

A large number of "Session" people turned up out at Makorori Beach to clean up the area after the recent holiday season. Four Trucks Full of absolute junk were collected by this community spirited youth group — which doesn't say much for some of the affluent types who camped and caravaned out that way over the holiday period. If the rest of New Zealand's beaches have this amount of rubbish scattered over them (in which case it must amount to Tons) then "I Care" hasn't got a look-in, and "God's Own Country" hasn't been That since He let man into the country! What with the rest of the country in the grip of polluting forces, "Pacific Pigsty" would probably be more appropriate than "Godzone."

Only this flood-deposited cattle skull could have any real right to the beach — the rest of the rubbish is what man should have taken with him when he left. "Session" members with one of the trucks full of junk.

Unless the litter bins are at arm's length some people are too ignorant to use them.

Barbecues are fun, especially if those concerned are too weak to clean up afterwards!
