500 For Fiesta

Five hundred people attended the Topaz Fiesta, an evening of fashion, wine, food, music, entertainment and dancing at the Sandown Park Motor Hotel. The function was organised to raise funds for the I.H.C., and was sponsored by Philip Morris Ltd. The actual parade was under the direction of Tam Cochrane-Hill, well known previously for her Gown of the Year parades.

The highlight of the parade was the showing of this bridal wear, a feature of note being the return to the use of softly draping fabrics and large elegant hats.
