Asian And Pacific Guiding Visitors

Thirty-eight visiting Guides (in New Zealand for a Guide conference) made a one-night stopover In Gisbome, arriving on February 21. They were welcomed at a Guide meeting in Kelvin Park, entertained to a buffet meal in the Guide Hall, stayed as billets,. and also attended the Thinking Day ceremony on Kaiti Hill the next morning. Mrs W. G. Turnbull, the chief commissioner, also visited with the overseas Guides.
