A couple of very worthwhile projects engaged upon by the Turanga Lions Club were completed recently.

Members of the club made eight of these combination table and seats and these have been placed along the embarkment of the Taruheru River, below Read's Quay. This community project will enable many of the lunch-time visitors to eat their lunch in comfort. Eleven Lions get ready to place one of the tables in a bed of concrete which is being made ready by the project convener, vice-president Don Galley.

Meanwhile, on the same day, I.H.C. people were being taken for a day's outing to Te Puia Springs by other members of the club. These people are pictured before departure with the project convener, Lion Ken Gold-finch, and Lion Norm Frazer, who drove the bus.
