Weekend Visit
The Third Gisborne Boys Brigade were hosts to boys from the Napier Brigade during a recent weekend visit. Verse speaking, a concert, a church parade and a rugby game were all part of the very enjoyable two days for the boys.
The Gisbome boys won the rugby in a very exciting game which ended at 14-10. The team is, from left, in front, Philip Carmine, Mita Waititi, Mark Doleman (captain), Dean Taewa, Wayne England, Nigel England, David Taare and Philip Hyland. The brigade chaplain, the Reverend Michael Fahey, dashed onto the field in the last minute of the game ... but it made no difference to the score!
