Bride of the Year

Mrs Sally-Ann Monk (nee Hyland) won the 1973 Bride Of The Year contest from 17 other entrants. The contest, organised by the McGlashen Swimming Club, raised just over $1500 for club funds. The winner receives, among a long list of prizes, a luxury holiday for two in the South Island.
