The Japanese Sandmen?

The beach races, conducted at Makorori by the Gisborne Motorcycle Sports Club recently, brought to mind the old song "Japanese Sandman" which, we thought, was not too inappropriate. Yamaha, Suzuki and Honda machines seem to abound at the meeting as they raced along the sand! Here, on his Suzuki 250, Craig Thompson is seen zipping around a lap end. Other pix on Page 37.
