Gala at Wainui

To raise funds for the Wainui Beach Surf Life Saving Club, a gala was held recently at the beach.

The club, which was in a flourishing condition before the war, but went into recess during hostilities, was re-formed last season, and is now playing a valuable role in safeguarding life at Wainui. The funds from the gala are to be spent on equipment.
