Gisborne School Sports

Five records were broken and one was equalled at the annual sports of the Gisborne Boys' High School, the first to be held without girls competing.

Records were also broken by B. Francis and I. Dunsmore (intermediate discus), W. Ackroyd and B. Morton (senior javelin throw), R. Hamilton (senior mile), and W. Ackroyd (senior shot put).

At the first annual sports of the Gisborne Girls High School, two records were broken; the intermediate hop, step and jump by A. Stewart and J. Shaw, and the Javelin throw by A. Unawai.
